COOTIE / FOX

This is a picture of what Cootie looked like according to Fox.

The following is Susan Fox's story. Both her cat Cootie, as well as herself were allegedly victimized by Sheridan.

On June 30, 2004, Susan Fox delivered her cat “Cootie” to the office of veterinarian Thomas Sheridan of the Folly Road Animal Hospital for boarding. “Cootie” was picked up on July 24 th, 2004. “Cootie” was returned in an unhealthy and hideous condition completely covered in feces and urine. Susan Fox wrote two letters to the Folly Road Veterinary regarding her concerns (See Defendant’s Exhibit 1 and Defendant’s Exhibit 2). Susan Fox telephoned the Folly Road Animal Hospital on two occasions to collect “Cootie’s” medical records.

On Thursday, June 22, 2006 Susan Fox, was arrested for harassment after a warrant was issued through Magistrate Brian Rawl on May 11, 2006 by Thomas Sheridan, IV, DVM, owner of Folly Road Animal Hospital (See Arrest Warrant).

Her residence was surrounded by armed deputies and she was hauled out of her home in chains and transported to Charleston County Detention Center. She was released the following morning on a Personal Recognizance Bond (See Bail Proceeding Form 1)

The alleged harassment stemmed from two telephone calls to Folly Road Animal Hospital (See Affidavit).

Susan Fox appeared in Magistrate David Coker’s court on August 30, 2006 and was found not guilty (See Disposition).

Susan Fox filed a complaint (See Small Claims Filing) in North Charleston Small Claims Court against Thomas Sheridan and Folly Road Animal Hospital on February 14, 2007 for the following:

Malicious Prosecution, Unfair Trade Practices, Attorney Fees, Pain & Suffering, Lost Wages, Veterinary Malpractice.

The case was settled on May 30, 2007 (See Court Settled).
